Am I maxed out

Thread Starter
Been playing around with my PNY 6800 agp 128 mb card. Stock is 325 clock, and 700 memory. I have it oc'd to 363 clock ,and 732 memory. It seems that my benchmarking goes down if I try to go any higher. Am I maxed out or is there anything else I can do to juice it up. I use coolbits 2 in the Nvidia control panel.

Higher system overclocks will yield better performance with graphics cards. If the scores are lower chances are the overclock on the card is too intense and not stable. Try for some better cooling if possible.

There isn't a way to test stability on GPU cores like there are for CPUs. Artifacting and crashing are usually signs of an unstable clock, but those syptoms can also be caused by other components as well.

The system is stable now and the temps are good. No artifacts or anything real noticable other than the lower benchmarking scores with the increased overclock. I unlocked the extra pipes from 12 to 16 but the extra pipes must have been flawed because that gave me some unwanted artifacts.

Been looking to add the accelor x1 for cooling. Just wondering if anyone else had success in overclocking a similar card?

Hmm thats odd, thats not much clocking for the card, if the temps are good it may just be that card really doesn't want to clock.

Not sure but wold a voltmod help it out? Maybe try pushing a bit further and see it just past what you got it to does cause artifacting at some point. If it does you'll easily know your stuck where you are!
