Not at the moment, we believe the grounding pin in the 24-pin power connector should ground the board just fine. Do you have experience that makes you think this will not be enough?

As for EMI shielding, the computer will not be anywhere near sensitive material that could be disrupted by the minimal interference created by a computer, so it is not necessary.

If you were to run a wire from one of the stand-offs to the PSU, that would probably ground it very well if you wanted to be extra sure it was grounded.

Yeah I mean I didn't even think of it being an issue. But someone asked me so I thought maybe it was neccesarry. I mean I've ran rigs just setting on top of my wood desk and ran them 24/7 for weeks with problems, no case or anything.

I like what the OP is doing in here. Mine will probably be more cabinet style with raised and laminated panels. I'm doing a house right now with a ton of custom furniture, book-shelves, cabinets, even a few sets of built-in bunkbeds for their grandchildren, so I'm a little burnt out on the woodworking by the time I get home or on the weekend. Once I get back to basic framing or demolition in a few weeks I will pick back up on the case. I have a log in my signature, no actual work on the case yet but I do have some pictures of paid woodwork I have done in the last couple of months.

Your build sounds like it will be pretty awesome. When I get money I plan to make my own wooden case as well. I just wish I had some actual experience with woodworking. I have a few ideas, but they will be kind of complicated, especially due to my lack of experience and tools. I actually helped Chase design this case and I am sort of helping him build it, so this case is making good practice for when I build my own.

PS: you do demolition, that sounds like fun.

So guys I will not be able to sell my sig rig as fast as I thought. eBay has a 1000 dollar selling limit for new users an users that haven't sold a lot in that area. I have it on a local site calle Ksl which is kind I like a Craigslist, but I think it will take a while to sell. To bad I don't have 35 rep frown.gif
