I own a single XFX HD6970 running stock speeds currently on 13.4 WHQL with 13.4 CAP's. I run MSI AB for the custom fan profile but have noticed that upon system startup(MSI AB is set to boot with windows however the "start overclock at system start" is still off as is by default) the fan spins at its normal BIOS profile speed until I uncheck User Defined and recheck it. I found that if I enable the "synchronize settings for similar processors" this is not needed and MSI AB will override by BIOS fan profile with my custom. I also use the OSD Riva Tuner app that comes with it to limit my FPS to 59 and to display the framerate via OSD in game.

I realize the sync setting is for Crossfire setups and that CAP (which I am new to using as I had thought the same about those) and this MSI bug occured prior to CAPS install and on various different driver versions.

So to the question: Is it ok to leave the sync setting enabled to solve this issue as I want to ensure that my profile is enabled prior to a long period of gaming? Does CAP affect this is anyway? I ask because I noticed a few small graphics oddities in Hitman Absolution after installing CAP however it did seem to help with framerate albeit a tiny bit but that was the only game I had time to test yet. Is this just a tradeoff? A whole chunk crowd in Chinese New Year vanishes at a specific angle in a specific spot every time as well as a garbage bag in the Hunter or Hunted Mission when viewed at a certain angle(neither of these angles are extreme they are pretty much center screen. Sometimes people in the crowd make erratic quick jerks seems less fluid(maybe that was always there). I also notice that prior to installing CAP the game would use up to 99% of my GPU and now it uses up to 89%.

I apologize for the long winded story but I wanted to provide as much info as possible.

Here is a pic of my settings:
CCC 3D settings are all default, Overdrive is disabled and both LCD frequency settings are unchecked (24' ASUS LCD).
