660 Ti SLI at 1440p: Will I run into any issues?

Hey everyone, I've had my 660 Ti SLI setup for a while now and I just ordered a 1440p monitor. I have 2GB VRAM and I think the 660 Ti has a 192 bit bus. I've never had experience with anything over 1080p so I'm pretty new to larger resolutions, will I run into any problems running a game like Far Cry 3 at ultra settings? It runs flawlessly at ultra settings and 4x MSAA at 1080p at the moment.

Thanks!

Inb4 people say yes.

No you wont run into issues except for certain games you might run into some VRAM issues, but unlikely especially if you don't use mods. The 192 bit bus doesn't instantly make the card a piece of crap like everyone wants to believe so don't worry about it. Most of the 660 ti SLI benchmarks are old so a bit off but in general 2 way and even then 3 way SLI wasn't falling extremely far behind a GTX 690, in the games with an updated SLI profile.

Old and half the games tested had limited or no SLI support but still accurate enough. There's more recent ones to be found off Google as well.

Not @ decent settings without AA. I would add another somewhere down the road.

Those cards are beastly in 3way SLI.

Yeah, they're great in 2 way, 3 way must be awesome. I'm still debating whether I want to add another one or get new cards altogether. If want to do 3 way then I'll have to replace my mobo because my current one doesn't have enough space for 3.

1440P is awesome, I love it. Once I went to it, 1080 annoys me when I'm on Youtube or any other video site. Gaming is so much better @ it. You won't be disappointed & congratulations on the new screen.

I would weight the board cost & new card cost. Then you have to weigh in how much you will get for your Sli setup now, then get rid of them.

A new board & card would be around $575 I would say, not to bad....
