I was putting my computer back together one day to clean it out and reapply thermal paste. I was grounded and proceeded with extreme caution. As soon as i flicked the switch on for my power supply and started the computer it up it shut off. I swapped out the corsair hx1000 and put in a new PSU. Next thing I saw was my CPU indicator LED light on my ASUS CROSSHAIR IV EXTREME BOARD lit up. I knew then and there that my CPU was fried. Can i call corsair and tell them this happened? I paid a lot for all my equipment and I know that PSU killed my motherboard/cpu. Anyone have any advice?
