Best solution for around $1000

Thread Starter
Im looking for an ultra high end setup, and it will be watercooled. Ive been looking around to see whats best. Im leaning towards the titan.
I think that your best bet is to go with an air cooled 7990.
I don't want to start a bogus AMD Vs. NVIDIA war here, but the 7990 is clearly superior. Just Sayin!
If you want water cooled, you could try tracking down an Asus Ares II, which is a 7990 with it's own closed loop water cooler AND an air cooler.
You could also try a pair of 7970's with aftermarket water blocks on them.
If however, you choose to go the NVIDIA route, I would reccomend www.evga.com for your cards.

Hope this helps!

The titan is already $1000 so you will not have any money leftover to buy a block for it. I would recommend waiting a month or two until nvidia's 7xx series comes out as the 780 is supposed to be 90% of the titan at about $650-$700 which would leave you plenty of money for a high quality block.

EDIT: The other option is to get two 770s when they come out which will be about 40% faster than the titan and cost about $450 each.

I'd recommend you wait for GTX 7XX series or you could go with the 79XX. It depends on what you prefer.

Only problem is that the 700 series won't come out for close to a year. I don't know if he want's to wait that long.

How about gettin one of Vega's waterblocked titan?

This is the link:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1387066/titan-evga-with-ek-block-backplate/0_100

That way you can a bit of money from taxes and waterblock.

770 gtx or 780 gtx, also make sure Nvidia isn't overpricing the 770, if 770 isn't in the 400 dollar range, then I'd suggest to go with an Ati 7970. I'm looking at the 770gtx card for myself, but I'm deciding if I should go with Nvidia or go with Ati and it comes down to pricing.

You don't give any explanation to as if you're gaming only on one monitor or a couple monitors. If you're gaming on one monitor, I think Titan is a waste in my opinion and overpriced for that. If you're gaming on Multiple Monitors, then it's probably definitely worth its 1k price tag.
