New MSI GX60 Hitman Edition VS. Asus G75-T4106

Hey there!

I'll start off by saying; i'm new to posting on these forums. That said, i'm a frequent reader here! thumb.gif

I'll be buying a new gaming laptop to accompany me to LAN-parties etc soon (got a beast desktop for gaming-needs at home), and i've done tons of research and i now have my mind pretty much set on either of the following two laptops:

MSI GX60 HITMAN EDITION (this is the newly 2013 released version with a newer CPU!)

AMD Radeon HD 7970M - 2 GB GDDR5

AMD A serie A10-5750 Processor (Quad-Core)

8 GB DDR3 SDRAM

Alternatively: the ASUS G75VX-T4106:

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670MX 3GB GDDR5 VRAM

Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM Processor 2.4 GHz (turbo 3.4GHz)

8GB DDR3 RAM

So it's pretty much CPU power vs. GPU power! rolleyes.gif

NOTE: I've also found a MSI GT70 with the i7-3630, and a GTX675MX for around 250$ more ( I live in europe, prices are alot diffrent over here )

My gaming preferences vary from League of Legends to World of Warcraft and from shooters to RPG's to RTS-games. So i'm looking to make the overall better decision here. I've done as much research as I can and the decision ultimately comes down to what advice i get from you guys!

Any OTHER alternatives are well-appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

First PCMark 7 benchmarks show a performance increase of around 10 percent on the A10-4600M (5750M: 2175 points, 4600M: 1965 points). Thus, the A10-5750M would place roughly at the level of a Core i3-2330M (Sandy Bridge).

Although i can't really go with the asus either based on their customer service. Would you be willing to share your budget and go with a different laptop?

Edit: I'd swing the MSi, by far the best choice.

Thanks for the answers guys - here in Denmark they are both 9500 DKR - which would be 1600-1700 dollars or 1250 euros - i wouldnt mind stretching the budget a little - however, i have a desktop for the highest of needs smile.gif

I was looking into the gx70 - but it has the A10-5750 aswell - and if it bottlenecks the 7970, it Will surely be a bottleneck in the gx70 with the 8xxx aswell ? smile.gif

Every CPU and GPU configuration has a bottleneck...

It only depends on severity, A10-4600M was not up to the task while A10-5750M will do considerably less bottleneck than its Trinity counterpart. We will see after we get benchmarks involving both of these laptops... thumb.gif

Ok... What features it has compared to GX60/GX60 Hitman Editio/GX70 3BE?

Does it have a modem focused on gaming, anti glare, great speakers, etc... Compare them.
