Still can't figure out why so many people have issues with stutter, etc with BF3 with the later drivers, yet so many people do not have any issues at all. I've never had any issues with any drivers with BF3, and the last 320 beta was giving me the best performance i've ever had with BF3, great drivers with my SLI GTX 680s

same here but with different systems, hardware, os installation freshness lol, ymmv I guess.

the only time I had trouble with BF3 was after installing nvidia inspector to get 3dMark to work in SLI, had major flashing textures in BF3, uninstalled and re-installed drivers and it was fine.

Not sure... I've had zero problems with BF3 at all, with 600-series cards in SLI and single since they launched last year, on any driver version (and I've used most as they came out). I'm guessing it's the typical "I thought my oc was stable but I updated drivers and it really was just on the edge and this pushed it over, but it has to be the drivers' fault it can't be me or my card" mentality.

Wrong. Well partially. Explain to me then why my Evga Superclocked GTX 560 worked perfectly fine in BF3. Yet my new Evga Superclocked GTX 660 runs like crap in BF3. Stutter wise. Even down clocking the card to Nvidia reference speeds. Same results. All other games and benches run fine..... Rolling back to 306.97 fixes all stutter issues with BF3 for users. They have changed something since then and its continued for months on end. Nvidia is still "looking" into it. Pfffft

But that's the thing. A lot of people don't know what frame time variances (stutter) or screen tearing for example even look like. So things like this are hard to determine from simply asking a group of random people with different setups (and why the AMD thing has been dragged out so many years). Then there's the fact, assuming it's effecting everybody, to what degree/percentage does it effect everybody and is the variance perceivable or non perceivable to the user? Because some frame timing issues aren't perceivable and minor whilst most (I find) are perceivable to the user. You also need to consider the situation in which the frame time variances present themselves. With a still camera and steady 60FPS motion very minor variances are able to be spotted whilst a moving camera with a lot of noise like an FPS game, it's a lot harder to spot it. So a larger percentage of variance occurs before you notice it.

Before my GTX Titan I had GTX 680 SLI and no such frame timing issues in BF3. But then I switch to a GTX Titan and every few seconds my frame times spike to 50-70ms and while my frame rate is steady at 60FPS. Why on earth that happens who knows but you certainly feel it even in a busy game like BF3.

I think if people are going to say it's a lot better, try and include something to try and verify it. Screenshots, FRAFs graphs or something so that we can definitively see improvement between drivers.

This was my issue with 320.00, 314.22 and 314.09. (FRAFs and FRAPs aren't 100% but it gives you enough of an idea I guess since we don't have capture cards and FCAT. Have to work with what we've got I guess)

With the last version, about half an hour or so into gameplay (in BF3) the textures would go psycho. Like jagged lines everywhere. But I cannot confirm that this was a problem with the driver, and also I cannot confirm that it has been fixed with this latest beta (haven't played long enough).

Nice job taking one word out of a whole paragraph I quoted and running with it.... I was referring to driver issues in a general sense.
