[NV] Nvidia GeForce 320.14 BETA Driver - Page 5

Interesting tidbit about these drivers. I ran the benchmark for Metro Last Light before installing the drivers and after, and take a look for yourselves:

Full everything w/SSAO Release Drivers Avg 40 FPS

Full everything w/o SSAO Release Drivers Avg 60.1 FPS

Full everything w/SSAO Beta Drivers Avg 30.55 FPS

Full everything w/o SSA Beta Drivers Avg 51.01 FPS

So a couple of things, I have a slight overclock on my cards (1107mhz) and 3570k is at 4.8ghz. Now I made sure that vsync wasn't playing around with anything with the driver installs so I'm not sure why the max fps dropped. Also drivers reduced performance overall, going to investigate further. Can anyone else confirm?

EDIT: Problem partially solved
I noticed after checking again that SLI wasn't enabled probably (there was a restart in between). Here's a redo of the Full everything w/SSAO Beta Drivers Avg 45.94 FPS. too tired to make sense of this now, will try tomorrow sleepysmiley03.gif

Looks like the frame times are much, much tighter with beta drivers despite having lower avg FPS. So that's probably why. It's a tradeoff, you can't improve frame times without sacrificing raw FPS numbers.

I had issues with the 320.00 drivers in BF3 aswell (5 different systems with the same result) and after rolling back to the 314.22 drivers all 5 systems seem to be stable in BF3. but going to give these new drivers a try, play some BF3, play some metro and give you guys my result.

thank you OP for the beta driver update. thumb.gif

Yeah i agree. I would rather have tighter fps at a steady level then a max fps that varies drastically during game play at certain parts

These drivers are good on my system and have fixed an issue with enabling HDR in XPlane 10 that I experienced using 320.00 drivers, not that many people play it i'm sure. I'm happy with these drivers!

I seem to have lower GPU usage in BF3 with these compared to 314.22. Think i will roll back to confirm soon

You can almost always find new downloads on Guru3d and they are legit so no worries there.

Installed them earlier today. Got a black screen (signal lost). Had to reboot the machine and start normally. Reran the installer, worked fine that time.

Only had time to try Far Cry 3. Seemed about the same but I didn't really check FPS or benchmark at all.
