What not-new Verizon Android phone to get?

Thread Starter
Someone broke into my friends car yesterday stealing my bag which contained my cell phone among other things. This is the third time my phone was stolen so I cannot use the insurance to get a replacement.

So now I am looking to buy a phone off of ebay or something, I had a droid bionic which surprised me in only going for 100-180$ on ebay.

However this phone has issues with the 4G antenna and mine never worked so I was looking for another, now cheapish (100-150$) android 4G phone to get but I don't know where to look for reviews and recommendations on phones that are no longer being sold by verizon itself.

I would think the one of the best phones would be the Galaxy Nexus, but it would be the upper end on your budget.

Is there anywhere to buy older phones where you don't run the risk of buying a stolen one like on ebay or craigslist?

You could find a Droid Razr M with that budget, I paid $150 for mine. I've seen them on eBay for around that price. I'd also suggest checking Craigslist for your area.

Swapa.

That's the site I use.

Thoughts on a like new condition Droid Razr 4G? I can buy one locally for around $180. Would an S3 be worth an extra $100 ($280)? This would be my first android phone, jumping off the WebOS bandwagon.

The S3 will give you better options for development. I had the Razr maxx. Great phone but not so great for doing custom things to the phone and what not.
