Yeah, they need to avoid the potential confusion.

The 80PLUS info for the RS-500-ACAA-B1 went up March 13, but it's not labeled as either G500 or i500, just RS-500-ACAA-B1 and "500W". Looks like the same label as is on the i500 on Newegg.

I wonder if it's a regional difference. I'll shoot them an email tomorrow, I think.
I would love it if you could find out any info on the I series. I was almost convinced it was the one the OP posted in this thread as it had the i500 buried in the name. I am out of work for a back surgery that must be done, and the short term and long term disability I have won't quite cut it, so was hoping to be able to build and sell rigs to make up the difference. The more I think about it though, the more I just want to build/mod rigs myself and open an honest to god computer store here in Savannah, Ga. The closest thing we have is a bestbuy and a guy that does random work on ancient machines at the flea market rolleyes.gif There is such a void in the market here that I feel I would be able to capitalize on it and I LOVE TO BUILD AWESOME RIGS and there's no reason everyone can't have an awesome rig without paying an arm and a leg for them. I sold a pretty nice rig on ebay for ~$500 and the kid bought a really nice computer, fractal design case, asus c4f mobo, 8gb corsair vengeance, a sapphire 7770, 2- 60GB ssd's 1 TB HDD, nice aftermarket cooler xigmatek gaia w/2 fans case loaded with fans, and a bitfenix recon fan controller, oh and a amd 965BE, and I still managed to pocket a cpl bucks for myself and pay for most of the next computer i'm building, sure I could have charged him a lot more, but for what I invested in it, it was a great deal for me.

I really hope the I and G seriers will be decent or better

Both because it would great for Cooler Master to turn around their image

But also to shut up some of the Cooler Master haters out there

Those are some of the few good Cooler Master units take the old and new GX series those are trash and they have many more just as bad or even worse units

Some of the bad ones are made by cheap chinese OEM´s like some made by Shenzhen Powatech / AcBel Polytech and Solytech

Some of the Enhance Electronics made units are not much better

The GX Bronze series isn't bad, but it's not great. It's certainly better than the original.

Yeah, I mean I never recommend it, but I breathe a sigh of relief when I have someone come back and clarify that they have the GX Bronze series instead of the original.
