Get A GTX 660 or wait?

Thread Starter
So I have £200 and just the 660's for £140 but with the 7 series round the corner is it wise to just wait? I've heard the 7 series may just be a rebrand anyway but I wonder what the price of a 760 will be in the UK? I currently have a 560ti. What should I do?

I would wait, that's what I'm doing. Even if it is just a rebrand you will get more for your money by waiting.
get a senconde 560 ti, the 760 ti will be like 300-400 $
post #4 of 11
My advice, I would wait for the release for 7xx series. Sell your 560 ti and together with the 200 and the money you got from selling the 560 ti, you have 2 options:

1. Get a brand new 760.
2. Get a used gtx 670 from one of the people desperate to sell their cards in order to upgrade to the new lineup.

Not sure how much the 7xx series will cost though.

Keep in mind that the 700 series has yet to announce a comparable card to the GTX 660. Anything they have announced for the 700 series is much more powerful and much more expensive. If the GTX660 is in your price range, and it will do all you need it to then go for it.

The 7xx series will be above your budget, but i would wait if i was you, and snag 6xx series when the prices drop. Although this might take sometime though. Just wait, I have 660 SLI and i will be upgrading to 7xx series when they are released biggrin.gif. So i would be selling my cards for lower price than i got them, lots of people like me will be out there, you can buy from us wink.gif
