Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 or Define R4????

Thread Starter
I am going to be getting one of these two cases, but i am having a tough time deciding, if i get the Arc Midi R2 i can mount a H100i in the top in push-pull and have a AF140 in rear as exhaust, if i get the Define R4 i would go with the H80i at the rear in push pull and have two AF140's up top as exhaust fans, which would be the best way to go. Thanks: Mick

i would personally go with the Arc Midi R2, just because it has better airflow, and better watercooling ability in the future. both are great cases, and you wouldnt be going wrong either way, but i would personally go with the Arc Midi R2

Arc Midi has better cooling
Define r4 is more focused in silence and looks

If i was you, I'd go with arc midi too
Arc midi and h100i will be the best option
if you like brushed aluminum look, getting define r4 is okay too

Both of them are great cases!

R4: quiet case
arc-midi: airflow-oriented

For me I would choose the R4, especially when my case is sitting on the desk right next to me. It also is more pleasing to the eye for me at least. You can't go wrong either way with the features both present.

I'm debating about the same two cases for my "make believe build" which just may become a real build later this year smile.gif Right now, leaning towards arc midi r2 for the better airflow and more flexible cooling options since that's more important to me than silence. I want it to be quiet at idle to be sure, but silence is overkill, and quiet'ness can be had with nice fans + reasonable control over their speed.

The R4 does have the side fan option which might be nice for an air cooled SLI setup.
