Now we just need a driver update from team red to see what the final performance numbers will be.

let me actually translate that for you, i speak german.

"The new shooter from 4A Games Studio, Metro Last Night, looks absolutley outstanding thanks to DirectX 11 support and requires with all settings maxed out alot of hardware power. Nevertheless the game still plays fluid on older GPUs if you can find the right settings."

edit: a screenshot of the graphic settings for these of you who are curious

Runs like crap is a bit harsh...it ran perfectly at 1080p for me with a 5870. It was a bit choppy at times like when climbing the tower at the end but other than that it was as smooth as a babies butt with max settings.

Big shock... AMD needs a driver update for it to run properly or competitively. Getting sick of this.

Well we should see a driver update in about 3 to 6 months. If on current release schedule the next driver should be out between July 10 and 30th rolleyes.gif

so, in your opinion is an AMD fault or developer fault? To me absolutely DEVELOPER, shame on them if they don't satisfy all the users...and also continue (a few only, luckily) to support Physx when they know well that code is not running fine on CPU side...'cause is not intended for CPU calculation. And so they try to oblige users buying Nvidia products... thumb.gif

Well it ran bad w/1 6950, fps were way too low for my liking, and even when I CFed and could keep 60fps w/vsync it still had its share of issues, could have been worse tho yes

I hope you were up in arms then about tomb raider then. That first week was a hoot.

Good to see these cards performing so well.  I thought this game would certainly require an upgrade.

Hard to know if the last game was demanding due to the bad coding, or due to the graphical feats.  Wonder how much that optimization helped performance going onto this sequal

always a testing issue by developers...'cause it means they release something at day one that they already know should be patched because of the not complete optimization...it's not a full mistake but i would like to see updates for minor fixes only...

sure better if drivers or game updates unlock the full potential (month by month) instead of a static performance at all...but big issues about performance should not be present neither at day one...it's not good for your customers if you test very well just with a specific hardware by a specific enterprise wink.gif

Is this game out yet? Thought that they would launch on the 17th only...
Regarding benches, what about sli performance? 670 sli, for instance
