Ok, so the game bench is far, far, far different from the Actual In-Game gameplay from what I am seeing with MSI Afterburner.

Bench: 30 fps


But... Here are screenshots during the bench. 50 fps.
Thoughts?
What does average fps have to do with 1 frame only or a close series of fps? "average" clearly means what it means biggrin.gif

Probably the sampling rate.  Afterburner is showing a rolling average, while the in-game may be recording actual frame times and then averaging them at the end.

It definitely does not play like I'm at 30 or lower fps.
Feels very smooth, more like the 60+ which MSI is reporting.

Meh, it is just a benchmark, I just thought it odd to see such largely different numbers.

Metro is a bad candidate for a friendly but competitive bench because there is no way to verify scores. That's sort of why the old one died.

I got a question for all of you.

When running the game in DX11 mode with vsync on the game limits the fps to 60. Its locked at 60. When running the game in DX9 mode with vsync it adjust between 60 and 120 depending on how intensive the current scene is. Does anyone know how to remove the 60fps vsync lock in DX11 mode? It's only using 60% of the gpu, vsync off im in the 100's

Just guessing, but since it takes ~60% to get you 60fps, that means it would take about 120% for 120fps. Plus you also said that you sit at around 100fps when V-Sync is off. That would put you at 60fps with V-Sync on. Maybe you're just sitting at 60fps when DX11 is enabled because it's more demanding. Have you tried looking at a wall up real close and see if you hit 120fps? If you do that and usage drops below 50%, then yeah I can see how it might be locked at 60fps. But if usage is constantly over 50% then maybe you're just not able to hit 120fps in DX11 mode and that's why it stays at 60.

Thanks for the reply, with vsync off ive gotten 130+ fps in one area but turning on vsync dropped it down to 60 again. Also, vsync works in intervals, 60, 75, 90, 105, and 120 are intervals that I should be seeing but it just stays at 60. In DX9 i am seeing those intervals.

I also gave D3DOverider a try while leaving vsync off and the game wont start. Just a black screen and then i have to kill the process.
