Also, just to clarify, CPU's don't bottleneck the GPU's ability to OC.  It can still OC regardless, just depends on it's utilization.

Im sorry, I thought i mentioned my settings above, but I run everything maxed (75.25 FoV) BUT advanced physx is off, and honestly the 30-60 is smooth. I don't get hiccups or screen tearing. its not like my fps sits at 60 then plummets to 30 out of nowhere. Some areas I get 50-60 fps, others I stay at 30-40. without fraps on my screen, I cant tell the difference between 30 and 60.

about the OCing, I know I could OC, but I just didn't think it would make a difference for if/when my fps drops because of CPU intensive areas. I'll test around with the benchmark tongue.gif

i don't know if it's a drivers issue, but my crossfire doesn't use all the gpu power... both GPUs at max 75% load, is it normal to you?
in benchmark max peak at 78% but it goes even below 65%... to me is not usual, it's as if these AMD GPUs would not exploit properly at the moment...

Game was rock steady 60 FPS before patch. Now it's hitches and stutters quite a bit. Anyone else having this problem?

3930k @ 4 ghz. GeForce Titan 320.14 drivers

Tested running my GPU at 1200/1500 and I got 2fps more on average. I still had the same drops in the benchmark where they pan over the 10+ AI and my CPU is running at 98% at these spots.

I don't doubt the OC would help to hit that 60 fps,but I don't see it making a difference in CPU intensive areas.

Tried with Tomb Raider Benchmark... it goes up 98%, and never below 95%... wink.gif is it a limit imposed by developers on purpose or because of an unoptimized drivers? Nice question biggrin.gif

Must be drivers. The last drivers AMD put out were 13.5 Beta 2 on April 24. I'm sure they're going to put out a driver to fix issues with Metro LL.

I think the combined heat of pushing my 660's to their limit and the CPU was just to much for my Antec 620 to handle. Dropped down to 4.0Ghz now and no more shutdowns, damn this game is a demanding beast. Amazing looking though.

Had the benchmark shut down my PC for me a few times and the game did it once. Using a 3930K @ 4.0 ghz and 1.25 voltage on a 750W PSU. PSU should be able to handle that load with that kind of OC. Not really sure why it did that. I too have played BF3 for a few hours at a time, Intel stress test and Prime95 with no shut downs or crashes.

It's crashing on me saying the executable has stopped working. So just as soon as I think I'll be able to play it now I can't again, hopefully a new driver will fix something but then how long will we be waiting for that? It's rare that I buy a game before it comes out and this is just pissing me off. I don't know who's fault it is so I won't sit here and bash AMD or the game developers, I just don;t know. All I care about is them getting together and fixing it.

very nice! I like how they optimized it finally. there was a thorough nvidia article on optimizations performed in this game, it's pretty impressive:

... now I just need the game LOL!

Idiot reviewer... He complains that a HD 6870 has problems running it while a 660 Ti has no problem? Well... to us , DUH.

6870 is not even the competing generation to the Kepler series, if anything it should be a 7950 compared to the 660 Ti. Fail article.
