Is the first one necessary for the whole story? Like is this one a direct continuation story-wise? I beat the first one multiple times, but not recently, and I've been contemplating giving it another run-through to refresh myself if it'll help bring me up to speed for the second one.

Yes you will benefit from knowing either the book, the comic, or the 2033 game. It kind of jumps right into things without much backstory. There is backstory but not a whole info page.

Nice. Think I'll give 2033 another go then. I haven't played it since getting my Titan, so, why not smile.gif

I'm glad so much work was done on the second one, as far as performance goes. Even if it doesn't look a lot better than the first one, I'd just be happy if it's not the insanely demanding situation that 2033 is.

I reported earlier today that gameplay on my Titan turned very choppy and stuttery after a patch. A 670 user on the steam forums reported the same thing and deleted the user.cfg in the games directory and then verified the games cache.

I can confirm this works like a charm and its baby's ass smooth once again

I'd encourage all nvidia users to do this even if you don't notice any issues.

but as long as it is butter smooth with non optimized drivers who cares

Mate, it's ridiculously good in 3D thumb.gif
Although I haven't tried it with my 3D projector yet coolsmiley.png
And don't forget it's "Alt+F1" to take 3D screenshots!

I'm not complaining at all, it would be nice to have a driver that fully use the resources of the beast for e-peen boost. lol

well what do you know, it DOES require a Titan to fully max out wink.gif

Single card wise, Yes, but compared to two lesser cards, naa tongue.gif, you don't need a Titan to max it out. smile.gif. I'm so glad i went with this cheepos 660 (non ti) SLI as opposed to single 680/670, It's really more performance than i expected. You would think they would suffer on highest settings but they fair pretty well. Right now, i don't think i will be getting any 7xx series since my 660's can play ALL games out there at very reasonable FPS, as long as i sacrifice one ridiculously demanding setting, eg, x8 MSAA or SSAA tongue.gif

Everything Maxed out = 39 FPS

SSAA Off = 56 FPS

Advanced Physx Disabled, SSAA OFF 61 FPS

Are you really denying that after drivers and patches were released, NVIDIA cards could not only play the game with TressFX ON, but actually outperformed their Radeon counterparts, in ACTUAL game play?

I don't know about you, but I didn't buy the game to run the benchmark.

You believe it or not friend, But did you ever think how did they be able to outperform after sometimes ? because AMD don't play monopoly. Their width of tolerance of taking counter attack is far greater and this is why they always come to a conclusion how powerful their next GPU must be to survive for next level. And for the "explosion", I can't remember how many previous title had pretty eyecandy explosion without that exclusive PhysX. But Nvidia doesn't seem to take that much, that is why many games will always be coming with PhysX support. And no doubt Nvidia might always be in #1 for most of the time, yes most of the time.

All This just may be my opinion because I am a consumer and my conclusion is based on what I am seeing and what has always been happening with all PhysX titles, Obviously the main battle is between Nvidia and AMD. Not between us, we all are just consumer.
Well, if you wanna bash me despite of that...np
