Other than that the game is easy to run even with amd crossfire....

Well, at that time things didn't look good from the AMD side, because only crossfire setup did match with Titan and did barely beat GTX680. I didn't barked at you, but there wasn't much to cheer if you needed crossfire setup to run this game.

btw. Did the patch improve you performance?

it did gain more fps on gameplay, but the benchmark stayed the same...and like you, I'm pretty happy with it overall...I was skeptical at first when I bought it because of the review.

The first Metro I could run 1202mhz/6600mhz, my 24/7 clocks (flashed to the magic Naennon BIOS). But in Last Light, I crashed at 1150mhz/6400mhz frown.gif But 1150mhz/6000mhz runs fine, so I guess I can't put much on the memory when running 1050 core.

But yeah that just made me wonder what it's doing to other people's overclocks. I've been running my stock 1202 core and 6600-6700 memory since shortly after getting my Titan, and literally every game I've tried was fine. Metro walks up to my card, looks at it's overclock, and smacks it right in the face.

It hasn't affected my gpu overclocks. I did however notice my 5ghz cpu clock profile needing some work.

Please tell me, this will help me to understand how I should write. I am still learning English, and I know my ascent is not good as an American. (I mean by America continent smile.gif )
That was very unfair they didn't get the final code, I understand it.
But after that, all Nvidia users flawlessly enjoyed TressFX and were head to head with AMD ( obviously heavy calculations just need more gflops, and if nvidia don't have that compute power then what is AMD's fault in this ? )
But in case of Metro LL, we can't even see that explosion and other effects that are elements of a game and truly belong to it. They don't need to be implemented exclusively for a specific GPU. Do they ? Complex calculations always require more compute power. And please don't misunderstand this as "AMD Compute power". Compute is not AMD's exclusive. It just means processing speed and applies to all CPU/GPU. and if we enable physX our fps are cut down by half. Even AMD gpus have much power left to process that, the physx pipelines always search for Nvidia GPU. It directly forces you to have a Nvidia GPU. This is called pure biasing. (And this is still just my opinion and I'm very confident with it.... lol )

Ok I understand what you're saying now. Your previous post was just hard to read, and I guess it was in the way it was written.

Basically, your monopoly statement had more to do with Physx, am I right?

If it's any consolation, the list of Physx titles isn't really that big.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_with_hardware-accelerated_PhysX_support

I could be wrong, but I remember NVIDIA wanting to keep Physx open to all, but AMD did not want to pay to license it.
Quote:
3. Is it true that NVIDIA has offered to open up PhysX to ATi without stipulation so long as ATi offers its own support and codes its own driver, or is ATi correct in asserting that NVIDIA has stated that NV will never allow PhysX on ATi gpus? What is NVIDIA’s official stance in allowing ATi to create a driver at no cost for PhysX to run on their GPUs via OpenCL?

Jason Paul, GeForce Product Manager: We are open to licensing PhysX, and have done so on a variety of platforms (PS3, Xbox, Nintendo Wii, and iPhone to name a few). We would be willing to work with AMD, if they approached us. We can’t really give PhysX away for “free” for the same reason why a Havok license or x86 license isn’t free—the technology is very costly to develop and support. In short, we are open to licensing PhysX to any company who approaches us with a serious proposal.

I also remember AMD being interested in buying AGEIA, I wonder how different things would be today if that happened. wink.gif
http://www.bit-tech.net/custompc/news/601680/amd-considers-buying-ageia/page1.html

You have to keep in mind that this is a Duopoly, and ever since these companies got caught price fixing, they'll do what ever they can to gain an edge over their competitor. CUDA + Physx are NVIDIA's edge. If AMD could get an edge over their competitor, they certainly will not hessitate to do so.

My 6950 is not running this game so well. It's adequate, but it's jittery, and I'm playing on Normal preset. Is this something I can look forward to be addressed in new drivers, or am I looking at a good excuse to pick up a gtx770? I kinda hope it's the latter.

Otterclock try the fix I found to take care of my hitches and stutters...

Delete the user.cfg file in the games directory then verify the cache on steam.

I run an nvidia card but its worth a shot

Not sure how everyone gets there statistics smile.gif but I have AMD 7870 runs highest settings including FXAA settings etc. no issues except: Only PhysX had to be disabled., If I enabled PhysX it Totally lost all gameplay, (slow motion big time). So smile.gif hehe I picked up a GTX 550ti as a secondary Only for PhysX lol... Works great! I have no issues,. and that new patch that just came out Also was a good fix,. Thanks. The Game is Really Nice... Fun!. boxing3.gifph34r-smiley.gif

Decent game. Part I mostly enjoyed was when I was allowed to roam just a little (when you drive the vehicle on the rails). Can't wait for Fallout 4, free roaming all the way. Hate linear games. Hope it will be darker than FO3 tho.

I just ran the benchmark, my computer was drawing 454 watts at the plug. That's the highest I've seen any game so far, its really pushing the hardware.
