What is the HTPC community's opinon on Haswell?

I'm just curious what the HTPC community's opinion on Haswell is.

Do you expect it be a worthy upgrade?

What features are you looking forward to? (or not looking forward to?)

Are any of you concerned about Intel's relationship to Hollywood & their history of participating in hardware level DRM? *

Well, it's supposed to have a better iGPU and lower TDP. So I guess it'll be great for HTPCs.

still won't outclass the amd APUs for htpc applications. the Intel hd4600 iGPU is almost on par with the a10, but not one upping it. the CPU portion of the die and rock bottom power consumption are very impressive though.

It will be a question of "enough" performance and pricing. Also good as these are GPUs remain better performers.
As HD7750 prices drop Pentium/video card has an appeal.

built: A6 5400 = fine

If there are thin mini-ITX motherboards with the embedded "R" processors, it could make for some very small HTPC builds. That's what has me excited about Haswell.

I'll be interested to know HTPC user's comments after the CPU is actually released to get some real world results.
