really?
Not sure what you said there champ! but, I got the gist of it, and at least this Titan owner agrees, if the rumored specs and prices turn out to be true thumb.gif

The Titan price argument is so odd, by all means mention the price repeatedly if someone starts a thread asking what GPU they should chose but anyone on OCN who already has a Titan is well aware of the price and what they brought into. If you have buyers remorse, you brought the wrong card!

Plus, we're all fully aware that Volcanic Islands/Maxwell is going to offer Titan performance at a fraction of Titan prices, that's a given. Most people aren't dropping a grand (or more on GPUs) as long term investments, that's not how tech works and we all know it. Personally, if the rumours surrounding VI @20nm turn out to be true, I have no issue in cashing in my GPU and buying one of those.

I'll be looking forward to what both parties bring to the table in Q4/13 - Q1/14, who knows, maybe Intel will do another Nehalem/Sandy Bridge at that point too so that upgrading from a 2600K finally makes sense thumb.gif

So why would I pay 20% extra price for less than 20% performance increase? (680 to 780)
The higher you go up, the less financial sense it makes. Both camps are the same. Buy two 680s for the price of a Titan, or you can buy two 7970GHz for less than a 7990.

Ermm..I don't know rolleyes.gif
Is this a rhetorical question tongue.gif

I have a Titan, I did the madness to take it.
is a nice card, but the price is meaningless.
unjustifiable, when 2x 670 for a lower price, were higher by 20%.
but at least they had the excuse of "single gpu" less problematic than one SLI.
but now if Nvidia launches a card that costs almost half, and this in almost the same performance, then I feel completely stupid to have taken the Titan with its 6GB unnecessary for 2560x1440 (my resolution)

It is yes, Im just hoping someone can point out the glaringly obvious reason nvidia think its right to charge 20% more for a product that isnt 20% better performance wise.
