YES another one of these GTX 680 SLI vs TITAN - Page 11

670s will be better for 144Hz as they offer more performance right now. However waiting for the 700 series to launch in a week will be the smartest thing to do. thumb.gif Sli has some issues but they get sorted out quickly and you can use Nvidia Inspector to modify profiles until official fixes come out. If you "got alot of inheritance money" and want something to last you 4-6 years (an eternity in this industry) you should look at the 780s if the rumours are true.

it would be logical, given the absurd price of Titan, which also costs 780 a lot, although less than a Titan.
But the latest news, to give a much lower price than the Titan. the only one who wrote about a price that starts to be high, PHK who wrote that the GTX 780 will cost $ 699

Just a rumor for now, Other sources are saying 650 to 750, but I have a feeling that is about the right range... Would warrant a price drop on the titans if that is the case.

Also 3 way SLI GTX 770 4GB overclock @ 1400/7400Mhz would not suck as an option, if the price is decent

this is exactly why I think the 780 will be close to 800. everything we hear right now is rumors. I don't think Nvidia plans on having to drop the price of the TITAN anytime soon. Selling the 780 for close to 800 will prevent them from having to do so while still being 200 dollars less. it seems like it will give around 10-20%% less performance in games than the TITAN. So setting a price 20% below the TITAN could happen.

It should be less than 10%, maybe 15% at absolute maximum. 800 is a distinct possibility, it depends how greedy nvidia is feeling I guess.

well the lower the gap is in the performance, the higher the price will be. lets hope for the maximum lol.

and as for how greedy they are, Well they do have people dropping grands left and right on that card. I think this was a method they did to set the price on the range of the 700 series as high as possible.

the only way I would buy the 780 is if I were going to SLI it. Then id have to cut out almost everything else in my wish list on newegg just to have that. no new peripherls or new awesome monitor. just badass graphics cards to play on older peripherals. SLI 680's allows me to get brand new everything as well to last me along with the cards.

Probably, and to create elitism.

A girl I know has a habit of buying nikes... She just spent like 200 bucks on a custom pair, and shes got about a dozen of them.

If I ever get into a relationship with that girl that leads to her living with me... I can see arguments happening lol
