New water cooling project

Thread Starter
Hi guys, I'm new in this forum so don't blame me if I am in the wrong section!!
In a few days it will be my birthday and as a present my parents are giving me money. I have a budget of 300€ and I want a water cooling system for my rig (you can find it in my signature).
Can you help me?

fan sizes
Front (Intake): 120x25mm Blue LED 1000rpm 16dBA; 120x25mm(optional); or 200x20mm(optional)
Rear (Exhaust): 120x25mm Turbo 1000rpm 16dBA
Top (Exhaust): 200x20mm Blue LED 800rpm 15dBA
Side (Intake): 120mm (optional)

you might be able to get away with a dual fan rad in the top.
are you willing to mod the case to fit a dual rad if needed? do you care if the rad is outside the case? do you plan on watercooling the graphics card?

Actually i don't know much about water cooling. Well, i would like to have an internal rad, and i am planning on water cooling only the cpu. What do you think? Should i also watercool the GPU and the Motherboard?

what about modding the case to accept a dual fan rad?

as for watercooling the motherboard, i wouldnt. you have nice heatsinks on it already.
liquid cooling that graphics card, i wouldnt. it has good cooling on it and is older. i would save liquid cooling for w/e you get a top tier graphics card. (but this is my own personal feelings about it)

i bought an h100 because it was a no fuss liquid cooling system. if you are making a step into liquid cooling i would advise getting fully into it with a custom loop.
this way when/if you want to upgrade the graphics to liquid cooling with a new card, you can. right now i'm stuck with just the cpu.
if you were to go my route, and you want to liquid cool the gpu down the road, you'll be stuck buying another stand alone or upgrading the full system to a custom loop.

for custom and modding your case some http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16893/ex-wat-221/XSPC_Raystorm_750_RX240_Extreme_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_New_Rev_4_Pump_Included_w_Free_Dead-Water.html?tl=g30c83s137
for non-custom and closed loop you could go with anything like Antec KUHLER H2O 920

you could also do a custom loop with single fan rad.
with the custom or closed loop, you actually should have enough money to upgrade the case if you wanted for betting compatibility for liquid cooling

here are the major cases you'll see most people on this site use/mod/do liquid cooling with

NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146067

Corsair Graphite Series 600T
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139005

OOLER MASTER HAF XB - (this one is much smaller and i dont have personal experance with liquid cooling in it, but fist review is talking about being able to use an h100. this is a case i really want myself)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119265

Rosewill THOR V2-White Edition (has some serious open area for free flowing air)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147158

NZXT SWITCH 810 (another favorite of mine and was designed around watercooling)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146088

all of these are great cases.
if i had to pick one for myself it would be the HAF XB, granted you sacarfice a lot of case area, but it just makes me want to put serious power into it.
for room, i would choose the 810. it has slide out air filters. when i had a cm690, i hated cleaning out their filters because you had to take the entire front and top pannels off to blow out the dust away from the computer.
