Sorry Nvidia but this one is going to end up being a big fat fail.

Surely there are better things to spend resource money on than this.

Is it supposed to be a complete rip off of the xbox 360 controller?

I wouldnt even buy this at half the price. Seriously Nvidia? 350 USD?!?!? Come on, are you really that desperate for money?

I guess i'm one of the few people that has pre-order one already redface.gif

Sure the price seems high, But I payed over $700 for my Note 2 when it came out so I could keep my unlimited data with verizon. I'm looking forward to wifi tethering to my Note 2 and using the 2 apps I have to connect my Shield over 4g to my desktop when i'm at work thumb.gif

Huh? Am I just misunderstanding you, because that wouldn't work. Unless my reading comprehension is way off.

It's not just the price that's a turn off but this doesn't really "enhance" pc gaming by any means. They should have instead invested the money on VR like a lot of the others are focusing on.

The shield runs android, There are apps that let you connect over 4g that work well on my Note 2. I see no reason this won't work on the shield, I just have to wifi tether the shield to my Note 2. I'm sure it won't be 100% perfect but I think it's doable thumb.gif

Yeah with nvidia pushing 3D for a while and being what nvidia are, I'm surprised they aren't one year into some VR goggles like Palmer lucky's or even AMD/ATI, I think they could do a better job, not that Plamer isn't, just that the consumer version could already be here and getting support. if I'm going to wear glasses/goggles then make it worth it

My only interest in the Shield or something similar would be a kind of high end pc game pad where youy could stream your desktop/browsers to the Sheild screen instead of alt tabbing, have some other video stream to it or have game menu screens displayed on it, emails whatever. From what I can gather they haven't got most or any of this last I heard and seems a like huge oversight.
