The Logitech Dilemma

I have been using the G400 for almost 2 years and the cord became faulty a few weeks ago (disconnect/reconnect) and I am going to replace it.

I am interested in getting the G100s AND G400s because I want to try out the G100s's shape while having a backup mouse (G400s).

Obviously the G400 is cheaper right now and I believe my local stores are phasing them out slowly because some of the new 's' series are not out yet.

Should I forget about the G100s and G400s and get the G400 again (while hoping that the cord doesn't fail)?

On a side note: which pad lasts longer, the Goliathus Speed or QcK+?

My G400 cord failed also, had Logitech ship me a replacement. Seen complaints about this before also. I might snag the G100s just on shape alone, I really love smaller mice.

Just grab a g100s, return if you don't like thumb.gif
Also one of my QCK+ is going on 4 years at work, use it 8 hours a day with almost no signs of wear. Very solid mousepads

Unfortunately, in my area Logitech warranty is not reclaimable through the official local Logitech representative as I have to go back to the retailer from which I bought the mouse from in order to claim the warranty. To make matters worse, I tore off the serial sticker at the base of the mouse so I doubt that they would accept the mouse. I seems that I was wrong in thinking that the G400 would last me forever like the MX518 frown.gif

I currently have a QcK+ Fnatic edition but it has gotten slightly rougher over the years and I plan to replace that as well.

The cord will fail on any mouse with the same shell, mx518, g400, g500, g400s, g500s and so on. I got myself a mouse bunge so i dont tear on the cord and i think(hope) that it will help.
Theres no reason to get the "s" unless u like the design.

On the mousepads, i guess its the same, its fabric after all:)
Qck+ is less pricey then the goliathus but the goliathus wont get frayed ends (anymore, i own a goliathus speed, old version thats horrible^^).

It's all about cord management, if you don't pull the cord all the time it should be just fine.
