Once upon a time I had all 152 (including Lugia?) pokemon memorized. Then came the Gold/Silver, and Black/Whites it wasn't long before I lost count...

Not to mention the the new, newer, and newest anime series.
However, Ash never seems to grow up. How unfair is that? headscratch.gif

Sure, with no 3D, on a touchscreen, and no secondary screens. rolleyes.gif notsureifserious.jpg

Anyway. Already pre-preordered!! (meaning I'm the first in the list of people who will be added to the preorder list once it is up for preorder lachen.gif

Yeah. I think so. lol

Sorry for being a Pokemon nerd but Lugia wasn't part of the original 151 (Mew for 152). Lugia came in Gold/Silver. I stopped playing at Diamond/Pearl. xD

X and Y the first 3D adventure? I might just pick this one up.

HeartGold and SoulSilver for updated classics, Black and White for a fresh start.

Personally, I think Black and White's designs are the best the series has seen since Gen II (can look through 'em here), and they're all you encounter until you've beaten the game. This won't do much for nostalgia (see: HGSS), but it does help make things feel more fresh than if you were running into Rattata and Pidgey every few steps.

Other than that, it might be best to just wait for X and Y. Not a whole lot is known yet, but the jump to 3D alone might be enough to win you back.
