1-) Are games in Oculus restricted to 1st person? Can we play games such as Assasin's creed with it?
2-) Do every game that has proper 3D implamentation work with oculus rift? I can understand that there might not be head tracking but is the 3D functioning well?
Its good and I can see the potential in it. When they iron out the bugs it will be brilliant!
However to get it to work with games is a hassle. I dont know if its just me and im dumb but its an effort to get the all setting set for specific games. Also I hate the lifting it up to check settings and stuff on the monitor and putt8ng it back on. When you have the rift on you cant see the whole desktop display and when you have extended desktops with the rift as the main display its very annoying. I tried mirroring but was getting random errors in some games on start up. Also reading in game menus is near impossible. If they arnt in the middle you have no hope and then you cant read them because of the low pixel count. The 3d is great and easy for the eyes and brain to comprehend. Im not having to much sucess with the dayz, arma 3, tomb raider games etc but the downloadable demos from various websites go ok. A couple demos i tried had 3rd person and it looked good but were simple games. With a 1080p AMOLED screen minimum on the consumer version this thing will have lots of potential. I think I may sell my dev kit because its a bit complex for me and I have other missions im on at the moment that need my attention.Edited by hatlesschimp - 12/26/13 at 2:19pm
