P5B deluxe very hot

HI,
Upgraded my mobo from a P5gpl-x to a p5b deluxe. I wanted to be able to o/c a little more than the old mobo would allow whilst saving funds for a better cpu.
The old mobo could get up to 3.9ghz and stayed around 50°c idle and 65°C max load. Even without o/c'ing with the p5b deluxe i'm at 50°c idle and o/c'ing to 3.8 ghz gets around to 65°c idle. temps from speedfan and asus probe II the same. perhaps these reading are off- at one point they read the cpu at 85!!! whilst it was clocked only to 3.4- but no shutdown, everything seemed to functioning ok.also:

-Have set and reset the heatsink with AS 5- maybe the temps will go down after some more curing but only 5-7 °C- leaving it still pretty hot.

-airflow is good( better than its ever been).

- speedfan is showing a 119°C for "aux" don't know what its refering to. seems like a few other have had this but can't figure out what its reading.

-seems some people suggest taking off the metal covering one of the passive radiaters (where "asus" is written, if i've understood correctly)

is it possible that this board would running things much hotter than my other?

any ideas? much thanks

sorry- thought it was in my specs- artic freezer pro 7. not the best i know- but the same i had on the old board.
thought maybe could try changing direction its mounted- at the moment i've got the fan side towads he ram so that it blows the hot air out the radiators directly onto the back chasis fan. does this sound rigt or should i try pointing the fan towards the botttom of the case to suck in the cool air coming from the front chasis fan?

hey man i have the P5B deluxe and my speedfan reading is 127 no matter what and it doesn't change, even when i changed HSF's and added the swifty aftermarket one. I think it must be an error in speedfan cuz my board temp is 29. I'm 90% sure it's an error, but if someone knows otherwise please let me/him/us know!

ThaLoveDocta-127 for the cpu??? thats insane! do you have the latest version of speedfan? i know until i updated it got a few readings wrong- my v core was at 2.5 until i updated.
and do you have another insanely high reading for "aux"?
i just don't understand why this mobo is running the cpu so hot- maybe the readings are wrong but i don't have any other equipment to check

I haven't found out too much more- a couple of others had the heart attack 85° reading that seemed to affect nothing.
Others talk about the poor quality of heatsink compound on the passive north and south bridge cooling. Not sure how much that would effect the temp of the cpu.

i realised i had the asus ai fan controlling thing enabled which is obviously not so helpful in cooling things- temps have dropped a couple of degrees but the temps are still much higher than on my other board.

well, just got myself a e6400 and things are much better- around 37°c idle straight away. and that should get a little better over the next few days.
the aux reading in speedfan is still at 119- whatever thats reading i hope its not serious......
sad to say goodbye to the little p4....
