I little Help with my Case :(

Thread Starter
I have a NZXT Phantom Enthusiast (White and Blue) Case.

But i want to add a h60i onto the rear to Keep my AMD 6350 CPU cool. But the Rear fan is tied together by those Zip ties. The zip ties are rlly tied close to the rear fan, you cant even cut them with a scissors. Is there anyway you can take it off?.

Also i have an extra HDD storage in my case, Im trying to take it off but its tighten so much that it is at Superman strength. Nothing will make the bolts move.

Any replys would be grateful.

Thank you for reading this message.

To get your hdd cage out depending what case u have in my old coolermaster storm enforcer there was 2 sliders you press in and it slides right out!..... Now in your case iam not sure u said the bolts were stuck what kind of screws are on there exactly? Philips head, hex? Or you might have those whatchamacaalits rivvits??? In which case you would u need to go out and buy a rivert-puncher or whatever the hell they call em lol sorry .... Iam gonna enclose a photo for you of my old hdd cage I kept it 4 some reason ( I hope this helps you?)
u should have 2 sliders 1 on top and 1 on bottom like mine pictured here, but I have seen cases were they are welded in as well

This is SIMPLE! just use some angled dykes and snip half of the head of the zip tie off. I've done this hundreds of times. Hell, I "ratchet" my zip ties on with a small set of pliers. biggrin.gif

For the HDD, make sure you are using a #2 Phillips head tip. You're going to have to use a full sized screw driver so that you can put some torque on it. It is very possible that you're going to break the head off the screw. If this happens, then you're to have drill and tap new threads. But the upside is that it will come out just fine. tongue.gif

I have done the Zip ties no problem, it is just that The HDD extra cage just wont budge, even if i use all my strength. There are 8 screws all together for this extra HDD cage. 4 on the bottom of the case and the other 4 are on the left side of the cage. it looks to me like phillips screws. Before i started my Build nearly all the screws where really tight, even the side panel thumbscrews were a bit tight.

Should i use WD40 or not cause i got parts in my computer allrdy.

After i have done all the above. I have one simple but important question.

Does the H60i even fit on the rear fan part of the NZXT Enthusiast Full Tower Case.

Lucky i havent bought the CPU Cooler yet.

Un-plug your pc from the wall, get some old rags u have no use for and cover up your psu, gpu, motherbaord and anything else that has a chance of getting wet!..........Afterwards make sure u use the supplied starw to control the flow of things ( I wouldn't recommend ) doing it without the straw!.....get 1 or 2 drops in each hole then wait about 2-3 minuts then give it a shot! This should loosen up those pesky screws! Make sure u unplug computer please!!
they hace these for sale by us for 4.99 make sure u get the 1 with the straw makes thing a hell of a lot easier-That is if u decided to take out hdd cage
