Im missing most of the settings in Nvidia control panel. - Page 2

Dude, can you please edit your previous posts rather than double, triple, quadruple posting. Makes for a messy thread.

You mentioned that you even reformatted so my next suggestion of running a driver sweeper to ensure a clean install is pointless.

Try this:

1. Download and install driver sweeper.

2. Press F8 like an idiot before windows starts booting to get in
the safe mode.

3. Uninstall ALL nvidia GPU related drivers thru windows software center

4. Start Driver Sweeper.. get rid of all NVidia driver stuff

5. Reboot

6. Download the right drivers for Win7 x64
normal drivers for the gpu´s that you can use as a weapon (static rig cards)
and mobile drivers for mobile devices.

7. Install

8. ?!

9. Profit

edit:

Also a full system spec of your hardware involved in this
particular system would be helpful..

missing most of the options in the nvidia control panel? well thats because you are using a mobile GPU... (I might be wrong) but from what i've seen almost all nvidia's mobile GPUs are not going to have similar control panel settings as a desktop computer's GPU.

You're still multi-posting.

When you say you reformatted, what version of windows are you installing, is it an Acer branded version?

Also, found this on another forum, it may be related, it may not -

your "problem" is not a problem at all but its the nature of your machine.
You have an "Optimus" system which means you have an intel graphics processor and an Nvidia (GT525m in this case).

You do not have the option in the Nvidia control panel since the intel driver / graphics processor is the default processor to handle video scaling.
Hence no option in the Nvidia control panel.

In the nvidia control panel you should only have 3D and video options.
The "display" options for which the scaling is located in the nvidia control panel is not needed since the intel driver handles that part.

So yeah yeah in a nutshell theres no problem.

Did you install all of the motherboard/chipset drivers after doing the fresh Windows install before installing the graphics drivers?

About the multiposting. Im just used to write as if im writing in something like facebook chat whatsapp when you just put in one and two words and push enter. smile.gif i notice after you say it and it looks terrible i know.

Yes the laptop has optimus. So does that mean it is just as it is. Nothing to do about it? For example it says intel graphics processoris handling video scaling. Can i set it so that nvidia does it so the options arrive. I feel close to the answer since none of the devices i looked at had optimus and this one does. It gives us the answer yes but; is there anything to do about it still. Yes i installed every important mobo driver for the pc. I only left out the crapwares. I said i formated 3 times. The first of them was with an acer branded version. The second was just some windows off torrent just to see if it would work the final one is acer again.

I will triple check i dont post 2 posts in a row from now ^_^

Even if there is not a problem by design, we here at OCN will still try and "fix" it. Did you check and verify that with your system you should be seeing the complete control panel? What feature in the panel are you wanting to use?
