Cannot install Windows 7 on newly built PC (Error 0x80070570)

Hey guys I just built a PC and tried to install windows 7 ultimate.
Specs:
-i5-3570k
-gigabyte ga-z68-ud3h b3
-8gb ram
-sandisk extreme 120GB ssd
-coolermaster 525W extreme PSU
Seagate 500GB storage drive

I first tried the DVD and got this error:

I assumed it was a corrupt DVD. I then downloaded the ISO from Microsoft and installed on a USB. I got the same Error. Re downloaded and reinstalled, same error. I looked online and found out it could be a ram error. Tried one stick, tried different slots, tried completely different brand of brand new ram, all to no avail. It always goes to 9% then gives the error. Any ideas?

Try using startup repair. That means there's bad files on your drive which can't be overwritten.

You have to enable ACHI in the Bios for it to install and work correctly with a SSD. Disable anything that says IDE for Sata. thumb.gif

another reason people have no clue about windows 8, compatibility, in this case, he didn't need to do anything windows 8 took care of that.

the people that are mostly uneducated in the matter generally don't even have windows 8, or haven't used it long enough to see through the new GUI, to most that's the only real reason why they do not like it, really its only akin to user interface like switching from windows to mac. if you give it a chance I think most will like it better, they have admitted the GUI was a somewhat failure but it just takes getting used to.

the features are quite good.

Windows 8 may have a little more bulk to it but it definitely keeps you productive (up-to-date) with hotmail/outlook while connected to network. Well, in terms of negatives... only three have crossed these forums. I've heard the common and difficult boot/start-up story (which is coming from some people who have updated but don't have the updated platform application to display the log-on screen (in like two seconds or less)). Another was simply re-installing the software for the custom rig. Another issue that keeps coming up is booting from the SSD/etc.
