Best way for automated backups?

What would be the cheapest way to do automated backups of my personal PC? I need to backup ~1 GB of files daily. Please no cloud/internet related backup services.

Get an external hard drive or a large flash drive and use Windows Backup. I have my home server setup to be backed up every day to my 1TB external hard drive. If you're only doing 1GB then a big flash drive should be good. If your computer has an extra HD bay, you could always add another one for backup as well.

file backup or whole system?

freefilesync on a schedule via task manager for files or an imaging software for the OS will do.

Thanks for replying. I mistakenly said that I needed to only backup files from one computer. It will be 1 GB of files from 3 different computers on my home router setup.

Try looking into NAS'.

If you don't want to do that you can map two computers to the third computer and do network backups on a seperate hard drive than your OS'.
