Overclocking won't "stick" on Sapphire Radeon 7950

So I recently got a 7950 and decided to do some overclocking. However, after I apply my settings with Trixx, or even CCC overdrive it will return to stock clocks once I run Furmark. It doesn't seem to matter what settings I use, even just slight jumps. Worse yet, it doesn't return to the 925/1250 clocks the card is supposed to have, it goes to 860/1250. It will read at the overclocked settings for maybe a second or two, but then clocks down. I can't figure it out so maybe someone else has had the same problem and can give me a hand? I've tried Afterburner as well with similar results. Not sure what's doing it at this point :-/. Not that the card is a slouch anyway, but I'd like to overclock it because it runs so damn cool and quiet to begin with.

How long does it take for it to ramp down? I have a feeling it might be doing that as a precaution due to high temps, but I really can't say what it'd be if it happens right after you apply it.

Maybe 1-2 seconds after I start a test. Its not temperature related, it barely gets to 60c if that at like 45% fan speed.

Disable over clocking in CCC. Set clocks voltage and make sure you set +20 in trixx. Report back if it dosent work. Try heaven before fur mark as well.

I think I figured it out, had to set one of the profiles to the 3d profile in Afterburner and disable the powerplay/powertune feature... What a pain.
