Which Graphics Settings Affect Performance the Most?

Thread Starter
When it comes to gaming, I like to have the graphics settings maxed out. However, on real-time strategy games, it can lead to performance problems. I wanted to know what graphics settings affect performance the most, and which don't affect them much at all. I've been able to find settings most games have, which are:

- Texture quality
- Tesselation
- Shadows
- Screen Resolution
- HDR Bloom
- Anti-Aliasing
- Particle Effects
- Texture Filtering (Trilinear/Antisotrophic, etc.)

I usually notice big performance gains when I turn down anti aliasing with pretty minimal loss in quality.
