my point is, i don't a market for these really exists. because the people who care will spend more and get something more powerful. and the mainstream market doesn't care

I know right, "Ultrabooks" sure aren't what they used to be. Instead of increasing the quality standards with every release of their ULV processors they seem to want to make them as cheap as possible. They should have made IPS 1600x900 screens mandatory minimums from the start. A 768p screen has no place in a $1K laptop/ultrabook anymore.

I remember those cute little netbooks.

Then eventually you couldn't tell the difference between some of the netbooks and "light laptops", before the tablet craze killed it off.

Yea, pretty sad tablets and phones are wiping the floor with laptops when it comes to resolutions these days... I just don't understand the logic...

Netbooks were a bit of a niche product as it was. Tablets can do pretty much everything a netbook can, and its not bloated with a full Os it can't really put to good use. Docking tablets and hybrids will start eating away at entry level laptops soon, so netbooks short life is long gone.

I never liked the idea of netbooks from the first one I saw though, so I can't say I didn't see this coming. I never really knew what the purpose of them was for...

The biggest head scratcher to me is the Chrome Book by goodle.  That thing is like $1,300-$1,500 dollars if I remember correctly!  I mean seriously!?!

Just looked it up on Google Play store, chromebook pixel(2560X1700 at 12.85") is $1300(32GB). for +$200 you can get a 13" 1600p rMBP(128Gb), for +$300 you can get a 13" 1440p Ultrabook(256GB).

Didn't the early version also require a constant internet connection?

I do not care about a tablet APU that I will likely never use. OP seems to just find anything AMD related and post it, no matter how boring or lame. I'll just end this rant here, I don't want to start a flame war.

If it bothers you so much, here's a thought, don't read it.

Why do Intel 'fans' feel the need to troll every single AMD thread? The mods doing nothing about it certainly doesn't discourage them...

Because life is not fair. You can work 10x harder, and your boss who delegates everything and takes all the credits gets promoted.

Or in some cases, get fired because you're too efficient for your job and the boss doesn't think it's okay to cut the salary because it might hurt workplace morale.
