[hardwaresecrets] AMD Never Settle:Reloaded announcement(LEVELUP) - Page 4

heh, I was able to get a radeon xfx ultra OC edition (exclusive to best buy) for only $160 bucks. The code that I activated on xfx website got me bioshock infite, tomb raider, hitman absolution, and far cry 3 blood dragon. Such a score.

rolleyes.gif Where did I say I was entitled to ANYTHING? I just think this is rather sad that AMD makes this post on their facebook page getting peoples hopes up, and all the announcement was that they are adding another game to their bundle. If you don't have a card and want these games, it's great. If you just want new cards and competition and don't give two craps about these games, not so great

People will complain about anything. rolleyes.gif

This is mainly for HD7900 series users , since I think Tomb Raider is more in demand than Crysis 3 (and the HD7870 isn't all that great given the price/performance compared to HD7950)?

So much hate for great games coming with a GPU. So sad.

I think TR has been the most enjoyable game for me personally over the last 12 months.

I'm a bit of a sucker for something cinematic I can kick back on the sofa using a control pad for a couple of hours. Crysis 3, Far Cry, BioShock and what not were fun but I sit at a desk and keyboard for most of the day at work, it's not always what I want to do as soon as I'm in 'downtime' in the evening

I knew Nvidia had above 60% market share, but that amount of Nvidia "mind share" is getting to be ridiculous...

Of course, I don't think that counts APUs which I would imagine counts for a good chunk of AMD GPU sales which could easily explain the decrease, especially at the lower-performance end.

On Newegg now too. They gave me a copy of Crysis 3 since my 7870 Myst is now bundled, and I ordered within a week.

Making the 7870XT more and more worth it now.

Exactly the same for me. Programmers like myself tend to be pretty 'done' with being hunched over a m/kb by the end of the day.

However, I played ALL those games (well, I don't have C3 but I did it with C2 just fine) with my 360 controller plugged into my PC. Worked well enough for me. I just play on a bit easier level than I would with m/kb and I'm perfectly happy with it thumb.gif
