you should be able to reset cmos from a jumper on your motherboard, check the motherboard manual, i've had this problem before dont worry its not broken

bust out your Mother Board manual and reset your CMOS by moving the jumper on your motherboard. It will be explained. Read up on how overclocking works and how to go about it before randomly applying settings. That's a really easy way to fry something.

how'd you get on?

start with stock settings.....

raise cpu freq by 10-20mhz at a time then reboot, test, repeat....
when it is starting to get warm do a stress test with prime 95 or super pi. Then check load temps.
If load is 50C or higher drop freq in increments of 5mhz until a sub 50C temp is maintained, then stress test....
if around 45C or just lower, keep cpu freq and stress test....
If alot lower than 45C raise cpu freq in increments of 5Mhz until a load temp of 40-45C then stress test...

Then when happy with cpu freq and temps change memory settings and vcore to suit setup and get a more stable oc, again stress testing to test temps and stability....

Go for a nice freq with good stability. At around 45-50C load imo.

Dont stay with max cpu freq as it may be unstable. You need a oc that is stable so it will run better under pressure and wont overheat etc.

Hope that helped lol
