So why make those modular it make little sense to me other then it make cable sleeving easier

Different cases mean different needs. The distances between PSU and motherboard vary widely by virtue of different size cases. Trying to coil up and tuck away longer cables in smaller cases, fir example, is a nightmare. Modular cables allow for much greater cable management because you can mood the cables with ones specific to your needs. Modularity might be useless to you, but to me and many others it's invaluable. Opinions do not constitute facts, my friend. smile.gif

At any rate, I think I'll try to replace my 660 with a slightly bigger 750-860 unit. I know Sandy OC's pretty efficiently, but I'm cutting it close with a 660W Plat unit.

Grab a 750W Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution, Seasonic X, Corsair AX, or NZXT Hale 90.

It's hooked up correctly. There is only one way to hook it up. Trust me with 3 7950's the power supply sounds like a jet under load. I'll be upgrading shortly to get my Valley score higher thumb.gif

You have something against Seasonic? I think they make one of the best ps out there. Much better than 99% of the crap that people swear by.

My last expierence with Enermax wasn't a good one. I had one of the Liberty ps that I rma'd 2 times before throwing it in the trash after it caught fire, yes actually fire not smoke. But I realize that was just a bad design from the get go.
