Drain port should be at the lowest location of your case.

So should i place it after the pump or before the pump? does it make a difference? Thinking that the pump never must run dry wouldn't it be the best to put it right after the pump?

It REALLY doesn't matter, because you should never drain your loop while your system is on. I would put it AFTER your pump, and put your pump near the lowest point in your loop. This will make filling it and bleeding it really easily.
