Not sure what I should do for next step - RMA @ Corsair

Hey I have a H100 and the light/pump control options have gone out on my unit - along with the fan control unit in it (i'm using other fans for now hooked up into a hub) However it still pumps water, keeps everything cool, and now makes an odd ticking noise.

I contacted CorsairGeorge back on Dec17th got a ticket number and he said he'd put in an advanced RMA - I gave him all the information and he's never responded back since on OCN or his work email or any follow up msgs I've sent him.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? I'm not sure if I've maybe made a mistake somewhere or something just got mixed up. I can provide the logs if it would be of help - just kinda frustrated.

Have you installed CorsairLink onto the unit? Have you taken it off recently and forgot to put the USB cable back into the USB header on the motherboard?

Just call COrsair directly. Thats what I did and I got my RMA number instantly for my h100i light going out.

I don't have CorsairLink - I've talked to their tech department back in dec - they said it was obviously defective and gave me an RMA # which I gave to CorsairGeorge who said he would get me an advanced RMA - where they would ship the new one out to me first, then I'd ship the defective unit to them so I wasn't without a cooler.

Ya I have a RMA # and I guess I'm just gonna go without my computer for a week or so I guess while I send out this one, wait for it to get processed, and the new one shipped = \

- its odd though, he said he was gonna do an advanced RMA and he never asked for my credit card # which is what I thought companies usually do for those encase I never sent back the broken one they'd charge me for the new one.

Think I've misplaced it, assuming I never hear back from him I guess i'll run to best buy and pick up some ultra cheap one to use or something

You should try to install CorsairLink and make sure the USB is plugged into the header on the motherboard. When I had my H100i it made a ticking noise and acted weird until I installed the CorsairLink software.

My unit worked fine for the first 6 months, and I have the h100, not the H100i
