e6600 seeking peltier! wattige?

my e6600 is running a bit hot 57c (orthos 12 hours) @3,51ghz vcore@1,5volt
i'm using a watercooled system with a dubble radiator

so my question is what Wattige should i go for on the peltier
and how strong do the peltier psu need to be(buying Not building)

any sugestion on what brand's i should go for is mouch apresiated

(alsow thinking on expanding to more radiators to help cool the peltier if needed)

You should look into a 437 watt pelt.

What cooling do you have?

is it realy nessasery to go that hige on the watt

that would mean the pelt uses more watt then my system
psu 600watt but im not close using that mouch

the pelt would use 437watt constanly right?

no need for peltier at this point, just better cooling. But if you do go peltier, 240Watt should do you just fine...

You have to have a separate power supply to use a peltier. I don't know if your water block will be good enough for a peltier.

It all depends on what temps you are aiming for.

437w peltier would be the minimum for a heavily overclocked CPU. Note that you won't be constantly using 437w of power because peltiers run more efficient at less than their rated maximum power/voltage. I ran a 437w peltier on my X2 3800+ running at 2.5Ghz, and giving the peltier 13.5v produced -8°C or so load temps.

If you just need to lower your temps a bit you can just build a better wc loop. But if you still want a peltier, get the 437w module and feed it 5 or so volts. I did that and my load temps were ~30°C and everything was completely silent.

You'll need a coldplate and a large enough waterblock to cover the entire module. That's really the only tough part when trying to build a TEC. PM Burn and he can give you Devin's email, the designer of the almighty Arctic Web 437w TEC.

Edit: This post shows some pics of my watercooling loop and TEC setup.

temps i am aming for is about around 50c full load @ 3,6ghz

i refuse to give upp before i can have my ram atleast stock 800mhz

4ghz+ have to wait til i build my next pc so i can push this one farther
and still have pc to play with when it fries

(edit)
btw a new watercolling setup is close to not going to happen before i build a new system (too expensive my system is 5000$+as is. im getting poor here)

a tec and a psu for that is way cheeper and i dont see on it as a waste of cash as it can get me far higer on oc than just a new water system

peltier 240watt, would i need a better waterblock if i doo that one, or should the one i have be sufisient?

nvm but tnx all for u'r help

i've been loocking into it a bit more and

doing a tec setup will be soo overkill
couse of the rest of the system going on water too i would need pelts all over or the rest of my system would be to hot, and doing that i would need a car engine radiator and that would just mess up the hole loock and loocks are important as i hafto stare at the freaking thing all day

maby one day i'l buy a wapochill and put in the case (have room for it, the lian-li cube case is a genius case)

I can't figure out how you are running water and still have a load temp of 57C. Something maybe wrong with your loop or mounting. I would say a lapping would probably drop your temps a few degrees.
Once again...

I am going to change from my 72~96 watt TEC to a 240w but I'm going to need a tuniq and a REALLY good fan for it.

dont think there something too wrong with my watercoling system as i had good temps with my 630 @4,2ghz, if i had my fan's blowing a bit faster then 550-600rpm i would be getting better cooling, tho im not gonna as it would be far to noisy for me.
i am gonna buy more radiator's thinking on two single ones to mount in where i have my other fans that give me some more cooling and keep in mind i'm alsow cooling my ram atm (gpu is going to be and northbridge too)
and i have a room temp at 21-22C
