I am going to buy a computer and it has come down to my choice between H100i and SLI GPU's i can only afford 1 of these options upfront

Should i get the SLI or get the water cooling and buy the SLI later on? (Next Month) PLEASE HELP! thumb.gif

With the amount of funds you would therefore have at your disposal, why not go for the Swiftech H220 right now (since you're probably looking for AIO) so you have the option to expand later on, and then save up a little more, wait for GTX7xx series to be fully released, sell your GTX650ti Boost, and snag a higher end GTX7xx Card?

The Swifttech is a bit to much for a Water cooler when a h100i would please my expectations and btw i havent bought the 650 ti yet i don't have a computer really yet im just making the cash right now.

OP, if you were to buy next month; i suggest waiting for 700 series to come out and making the prices drop on the 600 series before you cop another 650ti boost for SLI, OR you can try to get your hands on a 750 or 760 series or something.... maybe upgrade to a new video card?

Also, i would recommend the H220 over the Corsair H100i, youll see a lot more futureproofing with your CPU cooler with the H220 over the H100i if you have the extra money. The h100i will just make your CPU colder, maybe extend the life a bit if it has a bad cooler to begin with; and will probably shave you a couple fps if you OC higher with the h100i.... but if you get the 2nd video card or upgrade.... then youll reap more fps in games than you would liquid cooling it with the h100i.

Just my opinion. smile.gif

I'm still currently going to be pushing for you to go for the H220 (it's roughly the same cost as a 650ti boost) if you want AIO, since it's really the only good expandable AIO on the market right now, in case you're looking to expand later down the road but don't want to drop another 300+ on a custom loop. If you don't intend to expand then I say go with the H100i now, save up and either get another 650ti boost or, as mentioned, save up again and aim for a GTX760 (or higher) card.

I say 1 GTX650ti Boost and an H220 now and then another GPU in, say, 2-3 months is your best option for longevity though.

Should we have beef for dinner, or pork?

Sounds like a decision only you can make. If graphics performance are your top priority, I'd probably save your money and get a GTX 670 if NVidia is your preference and a cheap air cooler such as a Hyper 212 Evo. If you're going to overclock, then the AIO water cooler makes good sense.

If you're set on the two parts, then this is basically the easiest way to put it. Find out what you need more right now, buy for what you need.
