It's the new GCN shaders, which is in the 7790. Also it's a much more mature manufacturing process, higher clock speeds, mature drivers, etc.

Actually that's true, I've been trying to update my 7670m drivers for my HP and AMD's so called "Smart" driver utility tells me to check with HP webstie for driver updates and their latest drivers are from early 2012 wth.gif

Those MSI laptops are the only gaming laptop design I'd get outside of sager. Man alive do those puppies do well on cooling and performance, let alone, batterylife performance of any gaming monster I've seen. Screens are a little on the blue side, but a few adjustments and they do well. Audio is top notch, most retail with amazing network cards, and the cooling performance, gezz, you can overclock these puppies to their desktop equivalent cards. They're amazing laptops. My current MSI has the performance of a desktop Sandy with the GPU performance of the GTX460. It's great. Plug it into a secondary monitor with a non 1080p screen and you got one sec of a gaming laptop/desktop replacement. Grab these puppies when they are on sale/refurbished + sale and, ya. Best laptops, let alone, best laptops for the price, out there.

Those dynaudio speakers...man alive... incredible laptop speakers. Best I've heard so far. Man, did they ever crack a good deal to get such quality speakers.

Couldn't you just install the Catalyst 13.5 beta with enduro? That's what I do with my (aging) dv6z (a8/6750m or 7690m).

I learned my lesson on the last laptop I had with a discrete AMD card, driver issues galore. Since I've had my new laptop with a nvidia card, no problems at all. Sure specific game issues, but nothing that persists across all games and even in the OS.

I turned an HD4330 to be able to play STALKER at the highest settings under a low resolution. Custom drivers and overclocked that thing like mad. It was an HP Probook, and frankly, the driver issues don't seem to be supplier related anymore. You can install any mobile driver off of AMD's site and they work (unless HP still locks their crap down).

What speakers do Clevos have?
