Some laptops can only receive updates from the manufacturers, which is quite odd because AMD/Nividia are known for being a lot better updaters than companies like HP, Toshiba, or Sony.

"Herp derp, let's maintain all of our drivers ourselves even though we have free 3rd parties that would do the job!"
