Exactly what the poll and title says. smile.gif What do you guys think and know from experience concerning the three Reference cards between MSI, Diamond, and VisionTek?

I know there is a couple threads jumping all over the place concerning this, that, and the other, but I normally don't have that much time looking over 30 pages sometimes on a couple threads (Some even derail off). Anyways, I have done alot of research myself concerning all the cards and I'm just trying to get a feel as to what you guys had with experience and what other information you can provide. Like, I know Diamond makes some great reference cards(which I might be getting, unless MSI or VisionTek can steer me otherwise). The only problem about the Diamond card, is that I have to order it off of their website, with no extra games, and only two payment options.

So, let me know what you guys think and can share. I appreciate all the help guys! thumb.gif

MSI use the alternative pcb. Visiontek and diamond its true reference cards.

If you want to watercool grab the diamond.

If you dont plan to watercool immediatelly grab the 7970 TF3.

Otherwise just grab the TF3

Hmmm... I did not know that the MSI Reference uses an alternative pcb, well then, guess I wont use that card to start with. Thank you for that! thumb.gif

I was looking at the TF3 and Ive heard alot of mixed reviews. Like the one Hollywood started where he was testing it against an HIS card. I was looking into water cooling down the road once I scratch up enough money for it, but for a start, just using Air for now.

The alternative pcb is fine. Just some different capacitors i think.

I would choose the TF3 if you dont plan to watercool now.
