I was thinking the same thing

I thought that was P. T. Barnum.

It should be pretty close to Titan though, if it comes in under $700 it is going to be a pretty good deal.

Did you see that trend with AMD too when they released the 7970 for $550-$600 USD at release (now a measly $450)? Or you only saw it for Nvidia, just because it's Nvidia?

honestly, I do not see any reason for me to upgrade from my 580. I love my 580. Never had any want to upgrade to a 6xx card, and I dont think i will upgrade to an 7xx card.

although... if the 770 is comparable to a 680 and is priced at 350 when it isnt on sale, that might be a good investment. Problem is I am wanting two of my next graphics card.

and I want my high bus and high memory. I dont want to have to choose.

Skoobs, 3GB is a huge amount for today's games and will be fine for tomorrow's too during the useful lifespan of a GTX 780... you have a handful of titles even available today that require special circumstances and super-high resolutions + mods to exceed that or generally even come close, and that's just going by allocation which is more than real usage, not actual requirements (which Afterburner cannot tell you, nor actual usage). The whole "I NEED 6GB" thing is way overblown by people who simply aren't informed.

Found a Russian site with a product listing and 0.00 price (unavailable, obviously), one interesting tidbit...

"Judging by the slides that we saw, the GTX 780, based on Nvidia 28nm GK110 GPU, packs 2304 CUDA cores and works at 863MHz base GPU clock. It feature Nvidia's GPU Boost 2.0 that takes it up to 900MHz for the GPU. It will feature 3GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 6000MHz and paired up with a 384-bit memory interface. The GTX 780 needs 6+8-pin PCI-Express power connectors and has 250W TDP. It comes with two DL-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs."

I am worried about the pricing for the Hydro Copper line. I hope the most it will be is $750 range max but a little wishful thinking on my part atm so I guess I will emotionally wait. Just got rid of my GTX 680 Hydro Copper 2 GB for more Vram that had me capped.

3 GB is ok for 1080p but tomorrows game with all the mods etc you will need more eventually. I run 5760x1080p and need at least 4 GB for my setup. I want to be ready for BF4 and whatever else comes my way.
