meh, show me the EVGA GTX780 Hydro ,now that's a card I hope doesn't take forever to be released.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but there is NO way in hell the 780 will be $500 USD. Expect $600 USD minimum. Don't get your hopes up just to have them crushed on launch day.

The 770 would NOT be $400-450 if they were going to price the 780 at $500. They are entirely different chips, and there is no way they would cannibalize the Titan to that extent.

Some of you really think they would sell a card within 10-15% of Titan's performance for HALF the price?

My prediction has been $599 for a little while now. thumb.gif

$499 sounds too good to be true, but if it is.... eek.gif

780 - $499
770 - $399
760TI - $299

more than the 680 to 580? or the cheaper 480 to the gtx280/285? coming out for similar prices is not some bargain or blessing from heaven, it's normal for the most part. remember, GK104 is a mid range chip and some even thought those rumors of the 680 selling for $300 were true (lol) so it's not like GK110 has to cost $1000 or anywhere close. I'm gonna guess in the US we're looking at $500-$600, keeping in line with the post 9800gtx (or post HD4850) world of gpu prices. it's all speculation anyway. the 670 was 5% slower than the 680 at launch and was in stock with higher volume of cards. and 20% cheaper. nvidia doesn't care about cannibalizing anything as long as people are willing to buy up cards with the highest number next to it's name.

$499 MSRP is all but confirmed, judging by FUDzilla rumors and now tigerdirect/newegg are both clearancing 680's for $370-430 mostly. thumb.gif http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2300806&CatId=7387

Expect the Titan's worth and price to plummet shortly wink.gif, might want to bail out now of your 4x Titans and just get 3-4 780's wink.gif. Unless $2000 less is not important to you or you desperately need the extra 5-10% performance between 780 and Titan (likely).

Gibbo from ocuk dropped the 7970 lightning to £420 and stated that new things coming soon will be way more expensive, so who knows what it'll be priced at for us UK folk.

He also said this, however when someone said "780 must be much more expensive then?"

Could be, but no price is final until launch day. Sometimes the price of a new item can literally change 1 minute before it launches. AMD/NVIDIA love to play games with each other and us lot get caught in the middle.

EDIT: Also that's including VAT, which is 25% right? So the actual price of that card is "335 British Pound Sterling equals 512.58 US Dollar" per google, which combined with the above quote, well.... wink.gif. I'm fairly confident in the $499 price tag.
