And AMD's marketing slides? hahah don't even get me started

Comparing the 8970m equiped with the LATEST beta driver vs the 680m with driver 307.17 from early january.  Then they go as far as to compair and market the differences in performance in games like Crysis 3, BioshockI, and TombRaider, games that came out way after Nvidia's 307.17 driver......(then Vampirr sucks those right up for breakfast)

Let's continue to compare it to the 680m though while the 780m is just around the cornre, AFAIK, it's a full desktop 680gpu, just downclocked.

AMD's marketing is not as totally misleading Intels... Intel compare Haswell with Bulldozer from 2011.

Quite the price. The laptop I had with a 7970m did quite well across the board aside from the top demanding titles, so this is awesome.

Yep. Get a GTX 680 for less.

GTX 770 = GTX 680

Haven't seen anybody praising Nvidia for a rebrand, nor have I seen anybody confusing the 770 for a new card. We know it's a rebrand.  No reason to make 400 threads about it.

So they compare it to a 680m but not a 680mx? Lol.. The 680mx is a monster, its basically a down clocked 680/670.

I love how they say its the fastest mobile GPU.......until the 780M comes out and obliterates it.

In saying that, for the price, its a pretty decent setup. But dear lord I hate the marketing crap that these companies do (AMD, Nvidia, Intel, all of them).

"According to AMD's own benchmarks, its Radeon HD 8900M is up to 54 percent faster than Nvidia's best mobile offering, the Geforce GTX 680M" - Could they have cherry picked results any more than that? Not only that, but isn't the 680MX Nvidias fastest mobile GPU, not the 680M? Talk about trying to mislead consumers. Its fine for those of us here who know about these things, but the kind of people who buy these laptops tend to be people who want to game and don't really have a clue what to look for so they read on the box "54% faster than the competition" and they just lap it up.

I pray for the day these business practices come to an end. Sadly, they never will.
