antec p280 easily supports graphics cards upto 330 mm length.

i would suggest you grab the HIS HD 7950 iceq x2 boost. one of the best HD 7950 cards. built on a reference HD 7970 PCB with 8 + 6 pin power connectors. extra power phases compared to reference HD 7950 . maintains lower temps and better stability with extreme overclocking . unlocked voltage . good cooler. 311mm length

Yeah those are some really great Reviews and benchmark. Escpically when you overclock the 7950.

Looks like a good deal. But still Curious.. If its going to worth to pick it up or wait for the New V. Island Series. I will be buying the higher end card like the 9970..

Defiently could recoop a lot of the cost if i can sell my 6950 and those games it comes with.

Do the MSI TFIII 7950s still come with the 7970 PCB? I have one with the 7970 PCB and would love a second but I see some people are just getting the Boost Editions now.

the mantra is: if you wait for the next big thing, you will always be waiting . . .

the earliest i have seen for a release date for V.I. is the christmas season. and then there is no guarantee that there will be any games with it, but i'll admit there will be most likely. so the question you can ask yourself is how much gaming do you expect to do until then? also how much more will your 6950 will depreciate until then?

Volcanic Islands looks to be a Q4 2013 release. But what is not known is , will it be a paper launch in Dec 2013 with actual availability in Jan 2014 or a Oct 2013 hard launch with real volume availability.

I would say go with HD 7950. enjoy the perf. if Volcanic islands performance is a massive increase then sell the HD 7950 and go for the HD 9970 / HD 9950..

most of the msi cards need the TIM to be reapplied. its applied very poorly at the factory. use a high quality TIM like coollaboratory liquid ultra (conductive) or prolimatech pk-1 (non conductive). temps will reduce significantly and you can maintain lower fan speed even when overclocking. good luck. thumb.gif

Good idea i was reading about that, I got some Artic silver 5 ill throw on it. I think ill do that soon as long as i don't void the warranty.

Plus i got the MSI that has the 8pin + 6pin power, So that always a plus.

right now im just sitting it at 1000core 1250Memory.

What you think i can do without voltage increases?
