[CM Store] Limited Edition White QuickFire TK (Brown Switch) NOW AVAILABLE! - Page 4

Not sure about the key caps. I know they include a tool to pop them off, but not sure if you can buy replacements that'll fit.

Anyway, they have 8 left. You can tell by adding it to cart and fiddling with the quantity. smile.gif

Mine is showing up on Wednesday. Too long... can't wait to try typing on it.

One question about these Quickfire TK's LEDs. How long do these LEDs last? Will they die faster if i leave them on all day or if i always turn them off before going to sleep?

back in my day led has were the size of fists and I have to change them every night....idk, I have my keyboard on all the time. I doubt that anything will burn out in the near future. For instance, I had a blackwidow (for shame) from 2 years ago I think. I gave it to a friend a while ago, he still uses it and it still all lights up.

Also, it has a two year warranty. If lights go out, I'm sure they will replace it.

I think LEDs have a really long life. I have a Logitech G15 that I got back in 2005/2006 and it still lights up.

Honestly I've never had an LED burn out on me unless there was something wrong with the circuitry or something. Knock on wood.

Any word on when brown switches will be available on normal black plate? Everything I have is black... so I'm not exactly jumping for joy like some of you over the white version >.<</span>

So, I was a bit turned off by the board after a couple days of use. The key presses felt a bit scratchy and sounded a bit scrapey. The closest thing I have to compare is my Ducky Shine II TKL with Browns. The key presses feel tighter and the sound is a bit more exacting. Anyhow, after further use it appears you kinda have to break the switches in a bit. The audible feedback is a bit different to due to the composition of the keycaps I'm guessing or it could be these Browns were just from a different batch?

The only negative I'll give the board as of now are the sound of the stabilized keys. My Ducky uses the same Cherry stabilizers but on the CM the sound is very clacky. Especially the space bar. I put some .4mm O-rings on the stabilized keys and it seems to have taken care of the stabilized switches but the spacebar is still a bit clacky. The stabilizers have a lot more play in it than the ones on the Ducky.

Hmm I finally got my keyboard and I must say I really like it. I don't really have anything to compare it to except for my old Logitech K360 that I was using prior and a Model M that I used to have. This keyboard has a really nice light feel to it.

I just have one problem. I think the number 2 key on the numpad has a defective paint job:

Pretty sure the light isn't supposed to shine through like that?

No, please PM your info so I can have a replacement keycap sent to you. Our apologies.

Suppose to be next month. I love the white limited edition, but I prefer the black one as well.

CMRajiv, can you confirm if others have reported these Browns to be a little stiffer? Like perhaps the springs that Cherry put in this batch of Browns need a little more force to actuate or bottom out? Certainly a difference from my other Browns on different boards. Not a bad thing, just different.
