after im done overclocking my msi pe 660 ti

Thread Starter
after im done checking my stability on my msi pe 660 ti i would like to know if im supposed to lower the voltage and power limit or am i supposed to leave it? i have it on msi afterburnner software, and its at +100 core voltage and 114 % power limit. i have my core clock on +75 and my memory clock at +500. i have ok temps on that overclock, and my power limit only passes 104% max never over 104%. i would like to know if im supposed to keep it on those settings or am i supposed to lower it after im done so it doesn't ruin my card? and is it supposed to go over 100% power because its the power edition, wasn't it made for that?

thanks for reading my question

Going over 100% power isnt a problem as long as you have a PSU big enough to push more juice. As for your voltages and stuff they will throttle back when the card isn't under load. If you pull them back then it would do away with the whole point of the OC unless you just wanted to see how far it would go but never use it like that. I would just make sure you don't have force constant voltage on in your afterburner settings. From there you can watch the AB graphs and see if the card is staying at it's max clocks and volts or coming down when just idling.

So pretty much you lower those settings you loose the overclock, leave them alone and you get the extra performance but it does increase the rate the card will deteriorate. Depending on your temps and how often you have the cards at load will make the difference to if it is an issue or not.
